Walsh PR undergoes a rebrand

Walsh PR Rebrand May 2015

Dublin PR agency Walsh Public Relations has launched a new identity aimed at reflecting the digital and social media landscape in which it now operates. Founded by Jim Walsh in 1984, the agency has worked for a wide range of companies and organisations. Current clients include Flahavan’s, Dr Oetker, Glanbia Consumer Foods, Monaghan Mushrooms, Tegral, Toymaster, the EPA, United Airlines, Waterford Stanley and HSF health plan.

Walsh, who assumed the role of executive chairman four years ago, following the promotion of Caroline Heywood to managing director, has extensive consultancy experience, having previously been deputy managing director at Kennys PR for almost five years. Prior to that, he was publicity manager at book publisher Gill and Macmillan for over seven years.

He is a long time member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), works with various voluntary groups and charities and has been a guest lecturer at DIT for the past 11 years. Heywood has been a board director since 2002. She started in PR with Mary Crotty in 1987.

Walsh senior executives include client director Maeve Governey, who previously worked with Heneghan PR, WPP’s Hill & Knowlton and Cullen Communications. Vivienne Gleeson is media manager, Mairéad Foley is in charge of public affairs and Roseanne Reagan is senior client executive. Walsh is a member of the Iprex global network of independent agencies.

Walsh worked with Firstcom on the new branding and website redesign.
