An ad from the first Irish media campaign in over ten years for John West tinned salmon with omega 3 has won the NNI Press Ad of the Month. ‘Railings’ shows a mischievous young boy with his head stuck in railings and the tag line, ‘John West with Omega 3, because sometimes their brains need a little extra help!’. The campaign was created by Boys and Girls with media planning and buying by Mediaworks.
The creative team was Rory Hamilton, Roger McGrath and Bairbre McGlade. Photography was by Adrian Stewart and the digital artist was Tony Gold. ‘Railings’ now qualifies for the NNI press ad of the year. The latest batch of press ads were judged by Ger Roe of Publicis QMP and Shay Keany of ZenithOptimedia. The panel was chaired by former Irish Times managing director Maeve Donovan.
