Setanta Sports has released a package for next week’s Cheltenham Festival. The sports channel will broadcast 12 hours of live coverage with 20 live races. There will be eight hours of preview and reviews with racing experts Don McClean and Stephen Cullinane. Setanta Sports are now the advertising sales agency for the Racing Post daily newspaper, which sell 16,000 across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Setanta are selling a Cheltenham package costing €4,500 for 10 key 30-second spots, plus a full page colour in the Racing Post. Broadcast sponsorship for the four-day jump festival is €25,000. Cheltenham starts on Tuesday with the Champion Day. Wednesday is Ladies Day and Thursday has a St Patrick’s Day theme. The festival ends on Friday with the Gold Cup.
