Cox most trusted business leader

Alan Cox, Core Media 2

In a major salute to Irish advertising, Core managing director Alan Cox (above right) has been named as Ireland’s most trusted business leader in the 11th annual Best Workplace Awards. The award, presented in association with DIT, is made to acknowledge strong leadership in trust building. Particular attention is paid to leaders who build trust in all levels of the business through openness, transparency and honesty.

The judges said Cox showed strong leadership in delivering on promises and navigating and communicating a clear vision for Core Media. There were a number of comments from the agency group’s employees about the positive impact Cox has had on their workplace experience. Diageo Demand was named as the best place to work in Ireland for the first time, pushing four-time winner Microsoft into second place.

Core Media came third in the best medium-sized (101 to 300 employees) workplace. The category was won by confectionery giant Mars Ireland, which, incidentally, is a Core client through MediaVest. Estate agent Jones Lang LaSalle won the best small (20 to 100 employees) workplace. The best place to work team award went to Genzyme Ireland. Microsoft’s Spirit workshops programme won the developing award.
